The owner of this revolutionary Dutch start-up came to me with the idea of making a commercial like the famous Trivago commercials but only animated. This seemed like a challenge because of the great animation and the live-action acting in these commercials. We found a way to pull it off by using 3D characters and combining these with the illustrations made by Lemon Bandit. By doing it this way, we could get a very clear style, and also have the benefits of animating these characters 3-dimensionally through real photos.
